Jessica Alba - What Baby Weight?

Jessica Alba has looked fantastic at every public outing since giving birth to her first child in June, but none of that prepared the world for a calendar Alba posed in wearing swimwear, evening gowns and a whole lot of sex appeal. The calendar is for Campari, an alcoholic apertif. Maybe next time we'll see her posing in a campaign for fruits and veggies, which seems a little more up her ally!

Jessica AlbaWhile it's entirely likely that a decent amount of retouching went into the calendar (good grief, I hope so), there's no disputing she's looking hotter than ever, with an hourglass figure to die for. She's relied on a strict diet and exercise, as well as a personal trainer, but admits that she generally sticks to baggier duds these days.

"I'm usually walking around in comfy clothes, with a baby on my arm," the fit-but-curvy Alba says, adding that she enjoyed getting all dressed up. I think everyone else will enjoy it, too -- either for gawking purposes or, in my case, for motivation. I think I need some of the images taped to my gym bag!

Britney Spears Says Getting in Shape Took Hard Work

Britney Spears is looking great these days, but she wants to make sure everyone knows it didn't come easily. She told Glamour, "I have had to work hard at getting [my body] back to where it used to be. I used to be obsessed with working out ... But I can't get motivated right now because I'm so focused on my music."

Britney Spears at the 2008 Bambi AwardsWhether she says she's motivated to work out or not, she definitely has been working hard getting ready for her recent live performances. Dancing hasn't just gotten her in shape, but it's helped her emotionally. And, adjusting her eating (and drinking) habits has certainly helped. Still, she doesn't exactly look forward to working out.

"It isn't fun, so to do it every day would be horrible. Three days a week is cool, even two. It makes me feel good and feel like I've done something. It's important to take care of your body." She is even more aware of this now, after having two children, saying, "Recently, I started to appreciate my body a bit more from before I had kids."

The full interview will be in Glamour's January issue.

Horatio Sanz, was always the big guy on Saturday Night Live. And while the former SNL cast member hasn't lost his sense of humor, he has lost something else -- 100 pounds!

Horatio SanzThe funnyman admits to eating better, saying "I've been trying to come up with a joke about how I've lost weight and I was going to say, 'I stopped putting nuts in my sundaes." And while it's estimated that he's down about 100 pounds, he says, "I never weighed myself when I was at my fattest, because I was scared I might die."

In addition to losing the ice cream toppings, Sanz has been hitting the gym, and it shows. Major congrats to him -- who knew he could be such a big loser?

Tony Romo and Will Smith Pep It Up for a Dallas High School

The volleyball and football teams at Dallas' Lake Highlands High School got a major surprise at their pep rally on Tuesday -- Will Smith and Tony Romo showed up to give motivational speeches and meet privately with the teams and their cheerleaders.

The volleyball team was gearing up for the state championship while the football team was preparing for districts, and it sounds like both teams got some great inspiration. Smith passed on the advice he was given by Quincy Jones when first starting out in show business. He wanted to be the biggest movie star in the world, and Quincy told him he needed to be fearless -- willing to be hurt and held back -- and relentless, meaning he wouldn't stop until he achieved his goal.

Romo also had personal experience to draw upon, recalling how he had to overcome people telling him he couldn't make it as a free agent in football. He took it upon himself to improve the areas of his game that were lacking, and he doesn't limit that attitude to sports, saying anyone can make necessary improvements at any time in any aspect of life. He then led the school in a traditional Cowboys chant.

How'd Hugh Jackman Get So Sexy?

Hugh Jackman was just named "Sexiest Man Alive" by People magazine, and with good reason. According to his Australia co-star, Nicole Kidman, "Women's jaws drop when Hugh walks into a room."

Hugh Jackman Sexiest Man Alive PeopleJackman didn't always look like the uber-hottie he is now -- in fact, when he was a kid, his legs were so skinny that his nickname was Sticks. Maybe that's part of the motivation behind his wicked hard workouts.

While preparing for his role as Wolverine in X-Men: The Last Stand, Jackman was able to bench 315 pounds and leg press 1,000 pounds, and it showed on his 6'2" frame. He's still incredibly muscular, but has also become more flexible, which is important since he does most of his own stunts. In fact, he trained daily doing yoga for a full year in order to hold the lotus pose long enough for a certain scene in The Fountain.

Beyonce or Justin Timberlake - Who Has Better Legs?

When you put two super sexy stars on stage together in heels and leotards, people are inevitably going to compare them. That didn't stop Justin Timberlake from suiting up in a black leotard, tights, and heels, and playing Beyonce's backup dancer on last weekend's Saturday Night Live.

Justin Timberlake and BeyonceDid you miss it? You can check out a picture of JT with Beyonce here, and compare his looks to the backup dancer in the actual video for Beyonce's Single Ladies (Put A Ring On It). I've got to say, he definitely has some lovely legs, and he certainly had the moves, but I'm not sure they can beat out Beyonce's stems.

Speaking of the moves, it's no wonder Beyonce's legs look so sleek and strong. I dare you, just try doing some of those moves, shaking your hips while slowly lowering yourself to the ground and back up. When is this girl going to come out with a workout video?

Why Rob Pattinson's Shirtless Twilight Scenes Got Scrapped

When Rob Pattinson (who also played Cedric Diggory in the fourth "Harry Potter" film) was cast as a super sexy vampire in the film version of the hit "Twilight" book series, he decided to get serious about his level of fitness (perhaps taking a cue from his villainous co-star?).
Rob Pattinson
He cut out all alcohol and a lot of his meals, hoping to rid his body of "every ounce of body fat." He kickboxed three hours a day and ran for at least two hours a day for more than two months, saying that he hoped, "... when I took off my shirt, I would look like an alien. I thought that kind of worked for the story. The idea of taking my shirt off and looking like some sort of Adonis ..."

But, it didn't work for the director -- Pattinson lost so much weight that the shirtless scenes were cut. It didn't seem to bother him too much, though. Once he knew the shirtless scenes were out, he went about putting some of that weight back on by starting "a full cheeseburger diet."

Blake Lively Got Skinny Like a Beauty Queen

Gossip Girl's Blake Lively is one of the first names on everybody's list of hot, young talent. She's stunning, hard-working, and, by all accounts, a really nice girl. She's also very committed to her work -- the almost 5'10" beauty stuck to a strict diet to portray a bulimic beauty queen for the indie flick Elvis and Annabelle.

Blake LivelyBlake has said before that her first true love is food, so dropping pounds wasn't a simple task. However, she slimmed down her already trim figure by making "chicken breasts from Whole Foods on a George Foreman Grill, with asparagus and broccoli." At the same time, she was working to tone up, and told W magazine, "It was the healthiest I've ever been."

The W interview was conducted over lunch, after which Blake was going home to bake, so it sounds like once the movie wrapped, so did her super strict diet. She looks fantastic, though, and I'm happy to see she'd rather look slim and healthy than super-skinny. Smart girl!

Angelina Jolie does Pilates on her kids' Nintendo DS

There has been plenty of speculation about how, exactly, Angelina Jolie got her body back into such amazing shape so quickly after giving birth to twins, Knox and Vivienne. Did she have surgery? Or was it through diet? Most recently, the story is that she's getting in shape by doing Pilates using the kids' Nintendo DS.

Angelina Jolie smiling"Let's Pilates" is a game in which you -- you guessed it -- do Pilates. There are ways to customize the workout and reportedly, Angelina is already on the toughest level. By following the routines for an hour, three times a week, Angelina has quickly regained her pre-baby body.

Angie's not the only celeb who's found Pilates to be a fabulously effective workout. Check out the gallery below to see which other stars have a body by Pilates.

Zac Efron has sexy surfer abs

Zac Efron doesn't just get his rock hard body from the High School Musical choreography -- the actor earns those abs on a surfboard. As a matter of fact, his High School Musical co-star Ashley Tisdale gave him an Indo Board for his 21st birthday to help him improve his surfing skills.

Zac EfronAs Zac probably is well aware, activities that keep you off-balance do a phenomenal job at working your core, thus helping to create enviable abs. Surfing is great for that, but lots of other sports provide a tough core workout, too, like water skiing, snowboarding, and skateboarding.

Zac isn't the only celebrity to embrace surfing as a sport -- check out the gallery below to see some other famous folks who know how to catch a wave.

We Love To Gawk At Fit Celebs - Reese Witherspoon hops to it

Reese Witherspoon
Reese Witherspoon has been looking pretty fantastic lately and while she certainly can attribute some of that to her jogging sessions with boyfriend Jake Gyllenhaal, she's also giving credit to a new workout invented by her personal trainer, Matthew Reyes, called YogaHop.

Reyes explains, "Most people think yoga is all granola and hippies, so I love to explain how YogaHop is not like that. Imagine all the benefits of Hatha Yoga, then add chart music that will have you bouncing into the poses." Reese obviously agrees, as she tries to attend the 90-minute class two or three times a week, occasionally taking Jake along with her.

It's hard for me to picture, but I can imagine how joining the flexibility of practicing yoga with a more upbeat, energetic workout would be fun. Have you ever tried YogaHop, or anything like it? Because, if it's good enough for Reese, I'm thinking it's good enough for me.

We Love To Gawk At Fit Celebs - Ryan Reynolds is faster than he thought

Ryan Reynolds at the New York City Marathon
I think Ryan Reynolds might be a bit of a liar. After insisting that he's not a runner and that he'd be lucky to cross the finish line in last weekend's New York City Marathon, Ryan completed the 26.2 mile run in three hours and 50 minutes, which comes out to around a 8:45 mile (if my math is correct).

At the finish line, he told reporters that he was pretty excited to still be standing and explained that seeing Michael J. Fox around mile 20 caused him "to gain about 15 pounds in goosebumps" and gave him the motivation to push through the last few miles. He ran as a part of Team Fox in honor of his father, who suffers from Parkinson's Disease and raised over $80,000 in contributions for the cause.

"I thought a lot about my father and Michael and the 500,000 other people afflicted with this awful disease in the United States alone," Ryan explained, adding, "I ran for those who can't."

This guy is every bit my idea of a Fit Celeb -- his mind, heart, and body are all in good shape. However, don't expect to see Ryan do it again any time soon. He has been quoted as saying, "I would sooner be prime minister of the moon than run another marathon."

We Love To Gawk At Fit Celebs: Ashton Kutcher's new love

Last month, Maggie gave us the scoop on Ashton Kutcher's new role ... as the assistant coach for a freshman football team. And now, Ashton himself is speaking up about the experience.

Basically, he loves it. On his MySpace Celebrity blog, he talks about how his team has a winning record (4-2), saying his team is "a great group of individuals that understand that the collective force is greater than any individual can ever be."

He also talks a little about why he started coaching. While he always wanted to do it, he admits that he didn't do it earlier for several reasons: "I was afraid of the time commitment. I was afraid that I would look stupid. I was afraid that the players wouldn't listen to my football advice. I was afraid that the advice that I gave wouldn't be very good."

We Love To Gawk At Fit Celebs: Dakota Fanning gets extracurricular

Dakota Fanning has gone from a cutie-patutie little girl to a seemingly grounded young lady, with every stage being caught on camera, making it easy to forget that she's also just a 14-year-old girl. And, just like many 14-year-old girls, Dakota is taking advantage of the extracurricular sports at her high school in Studio City, California.

She's used to everyone cheering for her films, but now, she's cheering on her football team as a Vikings cheerleader. And while I have no idea whether Dakota's cheer squad is super athletic and competitive or more into hair and nails, it's still great to see a young star taking advantage of school sports.

Of course, maybe she's just getting experience -- aren't we about due for another installment of Bring It On?

We Love To Gawk At Fit Celebs: Athletes "get Ciara going"

Many of us are often inspired by how fit professional athletes are -- I know that I rarely watch a beach volleyball game without wanting to hit the gym hard. Hard-bodied R&B singer Ciara also admires athletes, but for more than their bodies.

She told Men's Health, "I take my motivation from athletes -- basketball players in particular." She cites LeBron James as a favorite "because he's my age and full of ambition and drive," and also mentions Michael Jordan's ability to pull through in clutch moments, saying, "That energy motivates me."

As a former track star, Ciara appreciates the effort it takes to achieve success on the field, and compares what she does to what elite athletes do: "[W]hen it comes to my career, there's nothing more exciting than being successful at the highest possible level."
